Coach Jose, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor

Jose Pagan is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and USJF Brown Belt in Judo. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Jose is a devout follower of Christ and believes that through Christ, no matter what life brings our way, all things can be accomplished in Him. This mindset is the driving force and the ‘why’ for being a coach: to give back to the community through the art of BJJ, which, like faith, shows us, no matter the pressure, there is always a way out, and a teacher shows us the way. If not obsessively studying Jiu-Jitsu, coaching, and training day in and day out, Jose enjoys playing guitar, praying, and spending time with family.
