One of the BEST in the World…… highest level of instruction and best atmosphere for learning.

If you want to be the best, you have to learn from the best. Vagner Rocha is an elite grappler and one of the best in the world.

I can’t accurately express how good VRMA is but, I will try.

First, whenever learning anything of value, who teaches and how they teach it is of utmost importance. When it comes to Jiujitsu, Vagner Rocha is beyond top notch. Why? Google him for yourself but, he is not only a traditionalist with old school work ethic but, he is relevant in today’s Jiujitsu world. His resume speaks for itself.

Secondly, his love for his art, love for his family, and love for his students makes his style of instruction more of a mentoring household rather than a place of business. His name is not only attached to the school, he teaches everyday, he picks who rolls against who because he knows his students strengths and weaknesses. In other words, you’re not just a client.

Next, Monkey see monkey do right? Well his fellow instructors are made from the same mold. So, when you’re taking one of the other classes in the morning, or on weekends, you are receiving the same high level Instruction. Additionally, the students become family. As a group we cherish this family. The feeling is palpable when you walk into the gym. Everyone wants to help each other become better, no one takes it easy on each other, always hard. Afterwards it’s hugs positive feedback and support. It’s incredible. I’m a fireman and I can compare to that brotherhood.

Lastly, at least for now, I hear parents come in because their children were being picked on, and or they’ve tried other places and felt their children didn’t get enough one on one attention. Well at VRMA there are at least 4 instructors on the mat to support Vagner and assure that the children are getting all the help they need. Our kids are super high level and more importantly, disciplined well behaved little humans. I have yet to see a parent not happy with VRMA.

Bottom line, of you’re looking for high level Jiujitsu training for you or your children ( we have many father/mother and son/daughter families), I can honestly say from experience, that VRMA is the magic place you’re looking for. Don’t take it from me though, come and see for yourself.

I have my daughter enrolled here for the last 6 month. Not only has my daughter learning Ju Jitsu, but she is learning plenty of valuable life lessons. The coaches are the best! they treat my daughter like one of their own kids. It’s such a great environment for kids and parents. We have made great friends and a new family. I’m very happy my daughter is enrolled here.

Joined VRMA almost 2 years ago, before i joined i went 2 a couple gyms trying 2 find the best fit for me i can say VRMA was by far the best one it was a easy decision to make, the coaches are super friendly and high level competitors, Vagner Rocha is a hands on coach he’s always there and trains and roll with everyone, he is a Champion on and off the mats

Vagner Rocha Martial Arts Academy is an incredible place to train. Vagner himself is a great instructor and a world class competitor. I have nearly 30 years of Law Enforcement experience in the Miami area and have employed Jiu-Jitsu techniques as taught at the academy on violent criminal suspects to gain control of them. I can think of no other martial art school to recommend. I train with my sons and nephews. Great family environment!!!

My children and I have trained at the school for 8 yrs and it’s been an excellent experience. I myself am a 20 veteran Police officer in the city of Miami. Comprehensive classes for both adults and children and a great friendly staff. Vagner himself is a world champion with a wealth of experience in both competing and teaching Jiu-jitsu to anyone willing to come in and try it out. I myself have won several tournaments under his training and at the age of 45. The confidence your child or children will get will carry over to school and every day life. Both my children trained at the school and I had the privilege to see them progress into the adult classes with me.

Come to the school give it try it’s a great parent child bonding experience for both mom or dad, son or daughter.

This is definitely one of the best places to train martial arts. Vagner Rocha is a very accomplished athlete and very successful coach as well.

I witness so many people to be influenced by Vagner’s in a positive way and becoming great in Jiu Jitsu and MMA.

I’m very grateful for all the good stuff that I had the opportunity to learn from him, he definitely change my game and was the person who motivated to even start in MMA, he’s a great mentor, also great with kids I will definitely have my son learning from him.

I’ve been training jiujitsu(bjj) for about 7 years now. i have attended other school before. i recently moved to the broward area and wanted great school to join. A good friend of mine told me about Vagner Rocha school in pembroke pines so i decided to check it out. Coming in as a purple belt, i could tell u technic is key. It’s now been 12 months since i joined. He has corrected a lot of small details in my game i would miss in key moments, an in BJJ that’s what determines submission an just surviving. VRMA has great structure, discipline, attendance, a family environment. Vagner R. and Ruben A. (BJJ) black belts leading the way. I would like to thank them and the rest of the team for receiving me with open arms.

Great instructors, very knowledgeable and personable. They work great with the kids and the adult classes are legit.

The coaching provided to the kids at VRMA is at the highest level you can find. The coach to child ration is perfect and the kids learn discipline while working hard and having a great time. The program for adults is equally impressive. From my first day the atmosphere at the school was inviting while still providing the appropriate level of competition I was looking for.

Started BJJ with Vagner back in 2009. Through out the years, I have seen Vagner excel everyday not only in BJJ/MMA but as a mentor, friend and a family man. I highly recommend his BJJ/MMA school for all ages. You won’t be disappointed.

Maestre Rocha has always and continues to represent what a martial artist should be. He has been one of my instructors in my journey learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. If you are looking to begin and or improve, highly recommend you visit his school. Ous!!

Dropped in for a class during a family trip and The only thing I can say is that the gym is amazing and the group of people there are super friendly! If you’re looking for a Jiu Jitsu gym in the area you won’t find better!

I’ve been training here for almost 4 years and I love it. Vagner as well as the other coaches are all great instructors . Everyone is friendly and cool, the jiu jitsu is world class, and the striking class is great as well. Definitely would recommend this gym to anyone whether you want to be an mma fighter, boxer, jiu jitsu competitor, or you are just looking for a good workout.

I can’t speak any more highly of Vagner and his team. My niece and nephew have been training there for many years and since day 1 we’ve all be welcome and treated like family. Aside from the fitness aspect and learning an awesome sport, most importantly they are taught to be a great competitor and are instilled with awesome values! Great school! Excellent jiujitsu academy, super friendly people, very clean, great for kids! Beginners and advanced adults will be challenged, and enjoy every moment of it.

Vagner’s school is class A. Besides being a world renowned MMA and BJJ competitor, Vagner is a world class teacher. His techniques are proven to work at the highest levels of competition, so if that’s your focus, look no further; if you are not into competition, his and his staff’s attention to detail will help you achieve your goals, whatever they are: to get in shape, increase confidence, learn to defend yourself. Along with all that, this is a family run academy and an absolutely ideal environment for kids and adults alike.

For those who ware looking to get healthy, gain some confidence, get in shape, make great friends and learn the best form of martial arts from one of the best in the world today, then you need to be training at VRMA, when I started over a year ago I was an overweight, out of shape Marine Veteran, a year later I am healthier, stronger than I was while I was serving as a U.S. Marine, more focused and found something that me and my boys who also train at VRMA can do together. My boys love training at VRMA. Vagner and his instructors treat them as family. I am very over protective of my children and I can honestly say I can leave my children in their care and know everything is going to be all right. Vagner and his instructors have helped my sons overcome their fears, confidence and self esteem issues, and learning disabilities. They have become more disciplined, focused and respectful. Since training at VRMA my sons have become better students in school getting better grades, and taking on more challenging assignments and responsibilities in the class room. My family and will not train anywhere else. The staff and students at VRMA are more than just instructors and sparring partners to Team Rodgers, they have become family. I would recommend this gym to anyone, no matter your experience and fitness level at VRMA you’ll see the difference.

World Class academy run by one of the best jiu jitsu competitors in the nation. Very fun and safe atmosphere, perfect for families and top level competitors both.

I’ve been training about 10 years and i moved down to Florida from NY about a year and a half ago and was looking for the best place to train. I trained at several places in South Florida before finding Vagner Rocha Martial Arts and I have to say it’s the best in the area. Great instruction, fantastic people, I don’t have enough good things to say about the place.

I met Vagner and started training with him in 2008 or 2009. Instantly he made me feel like part of the family. He helped me get in better shape and learn the principles of his Art. After moving to another area of the country and training with other schools, I can tell you personally there is no better school. Vagner is the best

AMAZING GYM ! MY DAUGHTER ATTENDED HER FIRST SUMMER CAMP THERE AND LOVED IT. THE INSTRUCTORS WERE VERY PROFESSIONALLY MADE ME FEEL SUPER COMFORTABLE WITH LEAVING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME. SHE WAS SO EXCITED I STARTED HER IN THERE KIDS CLASS AND WHILE SHE ATTENDED I WAS ABLE TO TAKE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASSES. NEVER FELT STRONGER OR IN BETTER SHAPE AFTER JUST A COUPLE WEEKS! I began my jiu jitsu journey nearly ten years ago under Vagner Rocha. I can say without a doubt, Vagner is the best instructor and provides the best training environment available in the area. Vagner is a world-class instructor and competitor, but his greatest value in my opinion is his maintaining a personalized, individual teaching style for all his students and a family atmosphere at his academy. I can’t thank Vagner and everyone at VRMA for the growth I’ve made as a jiu jitsu practitioner and person over the past decade.

I live in Plantation and drive to Pembroke Pines three to four nights a week for my 13 year old son to train with Vagner at VRMA. There are a lot of places where he could train that much closer to our home, but I have found that Vagner and all the guys there push him to do his best and do it with respect. He is not only learning BJJ from one of the best practitioners in the state (and he’s learning well I will say – he has the medals and swords to prove it!) he is also learning about hard work, commitment, dedication and being a part of a team. The all around confidence my son has gained in the past year is well worth the drive and I would highly recommend Vagner and VRMA to anyone!

This place has made such a positive influence in my kid’s life and I am very grateful for that.

Vagner is an amazing teacher! He is very knowledgeable, personable, has a great sense of humor and gives attention to each and every student in class. Vagner and the other instructors are also excellent with the kids program! VRMA is a great school for all ages!

Dropped in while on vacation and got a day pass. Did advanced no-gi and gi fundamentals. Vagner himself took the time to talk and roll with me which was super cool. Everyone else was really nice too. Top notch instruction and vibe. Wish I could train here more often.

Great gym. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend for all experiences. Even if you think you know it all. You will learn a lot in just a few days. And if you think you’re too much of a slow learner they’ll work with you and won’t go on until you feel comfortable with the technique. If I could give VRMA 6 stars I would. Wouldn’t go anywhere else if they paid me.

Can’t say enough about Vagner Rocha and his dojo. My boys trained with him for over a year before us having to move away. One of the best martial arts schools you can attend. Vagner is a world class athlete and competes professionally more than five times per year. Somehow, he finds time to be on the mat teaching virtually every class. Furthermore, he personally sees to individual athlete and team development as a trainer and manager.

Though his level of activity may seem impressive, the principles exhibited by Vagner and his team are even more important.
