Taking the Back – Move of the Day

Taking the Back by Rolling from Half Guard

Taking the back is a very dominant position because the person on top can attack with many different submissions, without the bottom person being able to see or defend. Taking the back works really well when you go against stronger opponents, with their backs turned they are unable to effectively use their upper body strength. That’s why today’s “Move of The Day”, we have our VRMA Instructor, Ruben Alvarez, demonstrate a rolling back take position from the half guard. To really make this slick Brazilian Jiu Jitsu move effective, pay attention on how Alvarez uses his grips and angles. Press play and watch the step-by-step instructional video so you can add this new technic to your game! Enjoy!

If you, would like to see any position, go ahead and e-mail us on info@vagnerrochamartialarts.com, and we will be glad to post that move for  you guys.
